Honeydrip has announced her debut album, ‘Psychotropical’, featuring contributions from Shanique Marie & King Shadrock. Listen to the first single, ‘System ft. Shanique Marie’, below.

Arriving on 6th October via Banoffee Pies Records, the seven-track album follows the Montreal-based DJ and producer’s 2021 ‘ANTI-EGO’ EP, and remix package released last year.

The LP is described as “an homage to dub, reggae, and dancehall, while keeping her signature bassy dancefloor sound,” and features vocals from Jamaican-born, Montreal-based reggae artist King Shadrock along with collaborations with Equinoxx collective member, Shanique Marie.

A visual experience curated by Canadian A/V artist, Emma Forgues will coincide with the launch of ‘Psychotropical’. Opening later this month at Montreal’s Société des arts technologiques, the installation will feature “humanoid shapes created from 3D scans of Honeydrip and King Shadrock's bodies and psychedelic landscapes inspired by nature, velvet, latex, honey, and glass.”

Honeydrip will also be playing at Mutek Montreal later this month on her own custom built sound system before touring Europe in September.

Psychotropical’ is available to pre-order here. Listen to ‘System ft. Shanique Marie’ below.
