Port Townsend is HUGELY bike friendly, with lots of bike lanes and pathways and for many residents, it's their primary form of transportation. When you're not on a bike only pathway, the speed limit in town is only 25mph, so it's pretty safe. The Larry Scott Trail begins at the marina and is the start point for the Discovery Trail that will ultimately go all the way to Forks. As of now, the Larry Scott Trail is about 7 miles long and is suitable for all levels and abilities. Fort Worden also makes for a nice variety of paved and unpaved biking experiences. Cape Cleare Salmon Company even delivers it's wild caught salmon to the Farmers Market and the Food Co-op via a custom bike trailer. So, make sure to bring your bikes with you. Park at the Visitors Center and you won't need to hunt for a parking space downtown.
